This term we have been learning that Jesus loves us and cares for us, just as a shepherd cares for a flock of sheep. We talked about things that worry us and we asked God to take care of all our worries. We leant that God chose David to be king because David had a heart that pleased God.

David loved Jesus and he wanted to trust and obey Him. David knew that the Living God would defeat the giant Goliath as long as David was careful to do what God wanted. We want to learn how to love, trust and obey Jesus more and more so that our hearts become more king and loving like His heart.

When it is family service we are in church for the whole service. Other Sundays we are in church for the first part of the service, then we go to the church hall.

Some of us are in Year 1 or 2 (Blwyddyn 1 a 2) at school, some of us are in the Reception Class (Dosbarth Derbyn) or in the Nursery (Meithrin) and some are too young for school.

Our leaders take it in turns to teach. There is a team of helpers to lend a hand and keep an eye on the youngest children.

Through the Church In Wales we have obtained Enhanced disclosure for Child Protection for all leaders and helpers from the Criminal Records Bureau. Later this year we will be using the new disclosure scheme when it comes into operation. Our Child Protection Policy is on the notice board in the church porch. All are welcome to join us but we need to know if your child has any allergy - we sometimes taste the food that is in the story. If you would like us to be aware of any medical condition affecting your child, please let us know. If you are new or visiting we are happy for you to come to the church hall with your children and stay until they are settled.
