The boys go out on the town.
Jesus disciples meet for meal.
No not the last supper but a men's night out in Aberaeron. On Thursday the 8th of December a group descended on the Royal Oak for a bar meal together. The group came from up and down the Ceredigion coast. So what was the special occasion; there wasn't one; but they all shared two things in common, a love of Jesus Christ and all were worshippers at Holy Trinity Aberaeron.

Steve, our curate said " Jesus ate and drank with his friends and so it so it is only fitting that the men of the church come together and eat, drink and fellowship together. We are all disciples of Jesus and that means he is Lord wherever we find ourselves."

Q: What is the inevitable result
of having a curate with a
motorbike obsession?
Answer . . . . A cooked breakfast.
And this is precisely what happened on Saturday the 12th of November when bikers from all over Wales descended on Aberaeron for breakfast with the curate."I do it once or twice a year" said Stephen, our curate. "They are all mates or mates of mates and the rules are simple, come eat and drink and talk bikes."

"They are a diverse lot and it is great to see the way in which a common interest can bring people together. We are not over biked at Holy Trinity but it was great to see one of our parishioners arrive on his James Bond cruiser."
"Inevitably there are questions from towns folk who are not used to seeing so many motorcycles parked up outside."

As Christians we are called to be in the world, not locked away, and hiding from it. Everyone who comes knows what I do, but they also know me and who I stand for.
(Yes, someone did arrive on an electric scooter!)
